Given all the talk of diversity and the need for committees to comprise people who have the knowledge and right skills set, how did the Minister come up with the members of this advisory group on Funding of Public Media.
Apparently, the members of the advisory group – Michael Stiassny, Sandi Beatie, Josh Easby and Irene Gardiner – bring together vast governance, public sector and broadcasting experience?!
Has there been any consultation as to who should be on this committee? Given this is a committee to consider public funding of the media, who are the members? What makes them suitable for the role? Where is the tangata whenua? And where are the Asian/Pacific Islanders.
